Caribbean Resorts Honor Veterans with Special Vacation Deals

Holiday Inn Resorts in Aruba & Jamaica mark Veteran's Day by extending discounts for Vets through the end of 2011.

It's Veteran's Day here in the U.S., a day when most of Americans get to relax at home while the brave men and women we're meant to honor continue to toil endlessly to safeguard our freedom. Doesn't seem fair, right? After all it is their day. And if anyone deserves some time off it's our solidiers, sailors, airmen, etc.

Well, it seems that the folks at Holiday Inn Resorts Caribbean couldn't agree more. They announced today that special savings available exclusively to active and non-active members of our Armed Forces and government personnel have been extended through to the end of next year! The savings, which are available at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay and the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, vary slightly by property.

At the Montego Bay, Jamaica property, the discount is a whopping 60% off published all-inclusive rates. Bonus amenities include a free one-category room upgrade (based on availability), a $5.00 match play casino credit, and 10% savings on spa services at the on-property Sol-Mer Spa & Beauty Salon.

At the Aruba property, a special rate of $180 per-room, per-night is offered on all-inclusive resort stays. Bonuses here include a complimentary bottle of wine and free wi-fi, in addition to the room upgrade. Better yet, pay an extra $40 and get upgraded all the way up to the resort's coveted oceanfront rooms.

A two-night minimum stay is required at either property, but really, who would want to spend a second less in either of these paradises?

Also, for those servicemen and women with kids, the savings are even greater. That's because kids stay, play and eat free at both resorts when sharing accommodations with parents as part of all-inclusive stays.

Yep, these are definitely two of the best deals going for the best and bravest among us.

Bookings must be made by December 21, 2011 for resort stays between now and December 23, 2011. Blackout dates extend from December 23, 2010 to April 29, 2011. Other holiday periods are subject to blackouts as well, so plan that leave accordingly. Also, be sure to bring along your military or government employee ID; you'll need to present it at check-in to ensure you get the savings.
