Puerto Rico - Travel Guide
This is an island whose 4 million inhabitants believe that life is truly about the pursuit of happiness. There are usually festivities of some sort to be found somewhere, if you’re lucky it will be to “bomba and plena”, the music native to Puerto Rico.
One of the most interestingly historical strolls in the Caribbean awaits you in Old San Juan, the capital of this Spanish speaking nation. If your mindset is more futuristic, Puerto Rico is also home to the Arecibo Observatory and the largest radio telescope in the world. However, if it’s nature you seek, stroll instead through miles of El Yunque, rainforest, go underground into the world’s third largest underground cave system or go offshore to one of the other islands that make up this nation, like Vieques or Culebra.
“The Island of Enchantment” is the fourth largest of the islands that make up the Greater Antilles, and is perhaps one of the most unique and colourful in its history, people and cultural identity.
